Day 1 - Jedburgh Abbey

In the mean time, you already know that we arrived in Jedburgh. As you can see on the pictures, not only is there an old Abbey in Jedburgh, but you can also find the last shop in Scotland before entering England there...

Instead of buying an entrance ticket to the abbey itself, we bought ourselves a Scottish Explorer's ticket, which is valid for a lot of places and castles during 14 days, that we way we could save some money on future tickets. Worthwhile to know is that this ticket is not valid for every place you want to visit, so best check on beforehand whether it would be cheaper or not to buy it depending on the sites you wish to visit.

My brother and I both were impressed with what we saw here. This really is a magnificent building complex. To think that this was build hundreds and hundreds of years ago, only added to our respect.
